Created by Seed Junky Genetics, Wedding Cake is a cross of Triangle Kush with Animal Mints. Some say it is a cross between Girl Scout Cookies and Cherry Pie strain. The LA-based breeders named it Wedding cake for its glittering resin and its aroma resemblance to a vanilla cake frosting. The strain was initially bred in Southern California, but a breeder called Kind Love brought it to the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
The plant grows very large and colorful flowers. It has dense round nugs streaked with pinkish-red and grape hues covered with orange hair and a high concentration of frosty trichomes. It gives off an exceptionally sweet aromatic fragrance. This strain gained recognition when it took home 1st prize for Best Hybrid Flower in the 2018 Socal Cannabis Cup by High Times Medical Cup.

Growing Wedding Cake
Wedding Cake’s seeds are not available for commercial sale. Aspirant growers will need to obtain cuttings from mature plants in order to grow identical clones. A temperamental plant, it is not the best choice for first-time growers. This plant grows both indoors and outdoors. It loves a warm and humid climate. Plant it in a spacious area where it can thrive freely. Check the pH of the plant. Feed it with the proper nutrients. Do not expose it to extreme temperatures.
There are some cultivating methods you can try to improve yields. Hydroponics or the use of water instead of soil can be used as your medium. With this strategy, nutrients are transported directly to the roots. It hastens harvest time and impacts yield production. If you use soil, choose high-quality organic soil for planting. Soil improves the plants’ flavor and helps it produce a prominent scent.
Its flowering time is estimated at 8 weeks, and you may gain a yield of 16 ounces per meter squared when grown indoors. Outdoors, expect it to be ready for harvest by mid-October. A yield of 16 ounces per plant is normal.
