(AKA Vanilla Moon)
Bred by Oregon breeder DJ Short, Vanilluna is a cross between sativa leaning female Blueberry and the original Blueberry indica male.
It emits a light aroma of creamy vanilla and honey with hints of flowers and melon. It grows dark green foliage. Its dark olive-green spade-shaped resinous buds are covered with amber hairs and coated with amber crystal-like trichomes.
Flavor and Effects of Vanilluna
Vanilluna is a tasty mix of vanilla, blueberry, and melon. Its honeyed sweetness is accentuated by a floral undertone. On the exhale, a lavender aftertaste lingers.
Its long-lasting cerebral and body high brings euphoria, happiness, mood lifts, and complete body relaxation. You will feel dreamy and comfortable. Be careful not to overdo, though, because it can lead you to couch lock. Due to its sedative effects, it is best used at nighttime.
Medical Benefits of Vanilluna
Vanilluna is a perfect analgesic, anxiolytic, anti-depressant, anti-inflammatory, and relaxant. It can help in the therapeutic management of pain, anxiety, stress, mild to moderate cases of depression, PTSD, and insomnia.
Negative Effects of Vanilluna.
Dry mouth and dry, itchy eyes are side effects manifested from cannabis-induced dehydration. Drinking lots of fluids will wane the effects. Using an eye moisturizer will soothe those irritated eyes.
Greening out is also possible when using the strain. You may become anxious and dizzy. Don’t fret, this is temporary and disappears after some time.
Vanilluna thrives both indoors and outdoors. It grows medium to tall and with short intermodal spacing. Its stems are thick and sturdy. Due to its broad fan leaves, you have to prune it once in a while to increase the circulation of light and air in the lower nodes. You can extend the vegetative phase and top it early to increase yield or otherwise use the Sea of Green method.
