Created by Exotic Genetix, Donkey Butter is a cross between the classic Grease Monkey and Triple OG strains. A pungent phenotype, it gives off an aroma of very heavy and strong spicy diesel effect that’s accented by a rich skunk and rotting pine. The plants grow medium to large-sized flowers that hold together in solid, funnel shapes. Its buds have long tapered olive-green nugs with fine amber hairs and a dusting of super thick icy golden crystal trichomes.

Flavor and Effects of Donkey Butter

Donkey Butter is a tasty mix of diesel, pine, skunk, and spice.

Its cerebral high brings euphoria and an uplifted mood. As it fades, a heaviness sets in that leaves you completely relaxed, aroused, couch-locked, and sleepy. Donkey Butter is recommended as nighttime marijuana. You can pair it with activities such as reading a book or watching a movie.

Medical Benefits of Donkey Butter

Medically speaking, Donkey Butter is effective in managing chronic pain, headaches, insomnia, migraines, and stress. Its numbing and sedative properties make it a perfect analgesic, anxiolytic, and relaxant.

Negative Effects of Donkey Butter.

Greening out is possible when using Donkey Butter. Anxiety, dizzy spells, and worse, paranoia may occur in rare cases. Some consumers complain of mild headaches as well. This is due to overconsumption, so go slow with the doses, especially if you are a beginner.

Furthermore, cottonmouth and dry, itchy eyes are side effects manifested from marijuana-induced dehydration. To remedy this, hydration is the key. Drinking lots of fluids will taper down the negative reactions. It is also advised to use an eye moisturizer drops to soothe those irritated, red eyes.

Growing Donkey Butter

Donkey Butter seeds are available online (although suppliers do not appear to be regularly stocked). This plant thrives both indoors, outdoors or in a greenhouse. Outdoors, it loves a semi-humid climate with daytime temperatures between 70 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit.

Appearance-wise, it is short and has a bushy silhouette. Occasional pruning is recommended. To fully bring out the purple hues of the plant, expose it to cold (but not freezing) temperatures just before the flowering stage begins. This strain is ready for heavy harvest as it reaches its flowering stage in about 8 to 9 weeks.

In taking care of Donkey Butter, do not forget to trim it when it grows uneven. Choose a garden where there is enough place for it to grow freely. Remove and throw away dead parts. Choose high-quality organic soil for planting. Check the pH of the plant. Feed it with the proper nutrients. Watch out for mold and mildew that can ravage it. Pests may also cause damage to it, so include them in your watch out list.
