Well, well, well, look what the cat dragged in here: a nasty, lousily-dosed edible that messed you up so badly you could already taste the afterlife while feeling as if 5 minutes last 55 hours. Or maybe you should just admit you acted like a mischievous child, and simply ate way more cannabis-laced goodies than recommended.

Now, let’s leave that healthy dose of cannahumour aside and focus on the real gemstone we have for you: a list of top6cannabis-infused treats that will blow your mind up in the clouds. And being the big-hearted bud buddies that we are, we’ll kindly (and generously) share the exact bits of cooking with cannabis know-how that will help you avoid ingesting a higher dose than needed, thus, simply enjoying your out-of-this-galaxy awesome edibles without experiencing the kind of I wish I was never born or may at least the earth swallow me and get me rid of thy burden of existence trippy episodes swaying your head in and out of the physical plane in the case you get too greedy with edibles, you shameless pothead creature.

We do need to highlight that the cannabis-infused treats recipes we have in store are not a reserved territory for recreational marijuana users, as these recipes can work wonders for medical marijuana users for the treatment of a wide array of physical and mental concerns by medicating with pot-laced foods.

Are you in the mood for sinfully delicious, creative, and easy to prep cannabis-infused treats Stuck for some inspiration Well, we guess it’s high time to get down straight to the fun part, isn’t it But first, we invite you to check out the 10 edibles commandments we have compiled for you (and we highly recommend that you get them commandments pinned, shared, snapshot, screenshot or whatever your preferred way of keeping importantly hilarious information at the tip of your finger is).

Edibles: The Golden Rules for Enjoying Every Single Bite of Cannalisciousness (Without Getting into Trouble)

And so, if your edibles could speak up to you, here is what they would say for your cannanice sake.

1. Thou shalt have no other Gods (and no other cannabis goods) but for me.

If you’re into those edibles vibes, then forget about smoking a fat joint an hour or so after you’ve decided this edible ain’t working on me so I’d better get just a little high the good old way. Be patient and focus on letting your mind and body experience the full effects of thy edibles instead of mixing (and messing) things up.

2. Thou shalt never get to munch on me like the Cookie Monster munches on thy content of a cookie jar.

Just don’t be the like Cookie Monster when it comes to edibles. NO Nom nomnom. Aim for the best working dosage of CBD/ THC per serving based on your unique needs, preferences, as well as prudence and tolerance to cannabis. A single cannabis-infused cookie could possess anything from 5 mg – over 500 mg potency, which is quite a wide gap, so you need to act accordingly by always keeping in mind the cannabinoid contents of edibles. Period.

3. Thou shalt always allow enough time to pass before taking another bite (or I promise I will kick you sooo hard).

It’s a no brainer but we feel obliged to kindly remind you to never hurry eating more of your edibles before a minimum of 90 minutes have passed after you ingested the desired first dose of delicious canna-laced goodness (and better yet, wait for 2-3 hours).

4. Thou shalt plan your day accordingly.

The effects of edibles take longer to kick in than smoking marijuana but they also last much longer, too (typically, anything from 3 and up to 10 hours). Whenever experimenting with a new edibles recipe or if you are still trying to figure out your personal tolerance to cannabis-laced foods and beverages, then do so when your schedule for the day/night is 100% free. Consuming edibles in a comfortable, cozy, safe environment, surrounded by people and objects that make you feel at ease is key when establishing, experimenting with or building your personal tolerance and understanding with edibles.

5. Thou shalt remind thyself that this too shalt pass.

Even though ingesting more THC than needed (because you are a nasty, nasty cannacionado!), can be the type of I feel like this cookie stole my soul and left me in this extraterrestrial dimension of trippy episodes all alone, always remind yourself of the immortal wisdom of Sufi poems: this too shall pass. Marijuana has never killed anybody (although this should not be an excuse to ingest more cannabis than needed based on your personal prudence and tolerance levels).

6. Thou shalt always test thy dosages in advance.

If you are about to work with a new batch of cannabutter, a new bottle of cannabis tincture or any other form of cannabis that can be used for infusing food that you have not tried before or do not know well in terms of potency and effects per dosage, just test a small dose in advance. For instance, take 1 teaspoon of cannabutter and wait for 1 – 3 hours to see exactly how it works for you, then you will know exactly how many teaspoons per edible you need to feel helluva pain-and stress-free with confidence and a smile.

7. Thou shalt take a cool shower if overwhelmed.

One of the best ways to fight off an overwhelming type of high that has kicked in after consuming more edibles than needed is to simply jump straight into the bathroom and take a shower. Mind that the cooler the water, the better.

8. Thou shalt spend all day long in thy pajamas every Wake’n’Bake weekend.

Amen.

9. Thou shalt act wise or I will be thy total day-ender.

n a metaphorical sense, edibles are born to make us happy. Whether edibles will succeed in making one happy or not is merely a matter of personal choice, isn’t it Start low and slow with edibles, act wisely, and you can reap all the fantastic, beautiful, meaningful benefits of cannabis-laced foods and drinks without having to reach the point of edibles becoming your total day-enders.

10. Thou shalt stay well-hydrated at all times.

The most straightforward cannabis law is possible: Edibles + hydration = BFF.

1. Not Your Average Granola: In-and-Outta-Controlla-Granola Smoothie Bowl

Nutritious treats are like mighty superheroes: they will have you full of energy and good mood throughout the day, keeping you away from the burden, exhaustion, and stress of daily existence by supplying your body with a perfectly balanced dose of plant-based proteins, healthy fats, carbs, fibers, vitamins, minerals, and nonetheless, active cannabinoids.

And since we know that everything is better when infused with cannabis, we decided to lace our morning granola with marijuana and add it into a delicious smoothie bowl packed with health benefits (and choke-full of happy cannavibes).

Plus, a study confirms that cooking at home is both likely cheaper, as well as healthier than store-bought or restaurant food, so it’s a cute double win-win to start your day or nourish your afternoon (or why not satisfy your munchies) with this cheerful granola smoothie bowl recipe.

List of Ingredients

1. 2 cups rolled oats
2. ¼ cup brown sugar
3. ¼ cup chopped pistachios
4. ¼ cup chopped walnuts
5. ¼ cup chopped almonds
6. ¼ cup chopped cashew
7. ¼ cup chocolate chips (dark, brown, and/or white based on your preferences).
8. 1/8 cup dried cranberries
9. 1/8 cup dried cherries
10. 1/8 cup dried apples
11. 1 teaspoon cinnamon
12. ¼ teaspoon salt
13. 1/8 cup maple syrup
14. ¼ cup organic, local honey
15. ½ tablespoon vanilla bean paste
16. ¼ cup cannabis-infused coconut oil

Important Notes

#1. For a gluten-free version of this recipe, substitute plain rolled oats with gluten-free rolled oats.

#2. Feel free to substitute brown sugar with plain white sugar or coconut sugar.

#3. If you want to enjoy a sugar-free version of this recipe, don’t hesitate to skip on adding maple syrup, honey, and brown sugar as the natural sugars present in dried fruits can work beautifully fine for delicately sweetening your treat, too. However, do make sure to add an extra ¼ cup of plain, non-cannabis infused coconut butter to help the rest of the ingredients in your pot granola get well-combined.

#4. Feel free to substitute any of the dried fruits suggested above with any of your favorite ones or simply with the ones you already have handy.

#5. For this particular recipe, we used a batch of homemade Gelato strain-infused coconut oil. Because of this, our in-and-outta-control granola kicked in with a beautifully balanced, long-lasting 45% Sativa to 55% Indica punch. The high was extremely potent, which was exactly what one can expect when working with a strain that tops 27% THC! While just about any kind of decent-quality cannabis-infused coconut oil can do great, we want to encourage you to explore the benefits of DIY cannabis-infused coconut oil because there is nothing that can compare with the pleasure of knowing exactly what’s in your cannaoil from seed to harvest at a fraction cost.

#6. For an extra punch of cannabis-laced goodness, we recommend that you combine your granola into the perfect smoothie bowl with hash yogurt. To make hash yogurt, add 1 tablespoon of butter or coconut oil into a suitable pot or frying pan over low to medium heat. Crumble about 1 joint’s worth of hash into the butter/coconut oil. We used 0.5 g and it was plenty for getting a single serving that should work great for the experienced cannabisseurs, so if you are a beginner, we recommend starting with as little as 0.2 g of hash. Within a couple of minutes, you want to start stirring the mixture. Once thoroughly combined, let the butter and hash fusion cool for a minute or so. Next, pour it into yogurt and whisk well until combined perfectly. Let it chill for 10 – 15 minutes and enjoy. We used prebiotic yogurt but you should feel free to use any of your favorite yogurt (strawberry flavored yogurt heading the list), or any kind of milk of your choice.

Directions

Step 1: Mix all the ingredients in a suitable bowl.
Step 2: Pour your well-combined mixture into a decently-sized baking dish. Spread the mixture nicely and evenly to make sure it bakes uniformly.

Step 3: Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit (163 degrees Celsius) and bake your granola for 25-30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes or so.

Step 4: Pull out your batch of granola and enjoy!

2. Funky Monkey Orange Flavored CannaLollipops

This is definitely one of those recipes that got us thinking “How come we didn’t try this earlier!” But the thing is, we were (a tiny bit) scared from getting into all the mess that is typically involved when it comes to homemade hard candies. Well, guess what: as long as you have a candy thermometer, this recipe is sooo simple to make and works out sooo good that you simply have NO excuse not to try it out. We loved how these cannalollipops turned out but most of all, we love how travel-friendly and easy to dose these succulent little treats ended up. By the way, if you are into exploring the benefits of microdosing cannabis, these cannalollies are sure to become your go-to top favorite recipe!

List of Ingredients

1. 1 cup sugar
2. ½ cup corn syrup
3. ¼ cup spring water (filtered water will work great, too).
4. 1 teaspoon orange flavor (feel free to use any other flavor of your choice).
5. 2 teaspoons cannabis tincture

Important Notes

#1.
While being easy-peasy to make provided you follow the right recipe (we’ve got your back covered on that note), these cannalollipops cannot be possibly accomplished without a good candy thermometer, hard candy or lollipop molds, and lollipop sticks. No lollipop sticks Just enjoy these lollipops as plain cannacandies!

#2. You can substitute cannabis tincture with decarboxylated cannabis concentrate on your choices, such as hash or CO2 concentrates, among others. Working with cannabis concentrates is a great idea, as similarly to cannabis tinctures, dosing your edibles accurately feels like a bliss.

#3. We used homemade White Widow strain-based cannabis tincture. Not only did we felt extremely proud to work with homegrown White Widow cannabis flowers but we certainly want to encourage you to give DIY weed tinctures a try! We managed to yield 20 pretty little cannalollipops by following the exact amounts listed above, however, the numbers can vary based on the size of molds you choose to work with.

#4. Please, mind, that you may need to use 1 teaspoon cannabis tincture more or less than the recommended quantity above, solely depending on the potency of your cannabis tincture, and respectively, on the desired potency per cannalollipop.

#5. These cannalollipops can provide incredibly effective pain relief, anti-anxiety benefits, reduce stress and alleviate depression while treating inflammation and/or sore muscles. Just don’t forget that the strain incorporated in the cannabis tincture or cannabis concentrate you opt for matter (a lot).

#6. Store your cannalollipops in airtight containers (this way, you can store them for over a year). Don’t forget to keep these alluring treats away from minors.

Directions

Step 1: Set a suitable saucepan over medium to high heat and combine sugar, corn syrup, and spring water.

Step 2: Stir the mixture until you notice that the sugar is fully dissolved.

Step 3: When the mixture reaches a boil, it’s time to insert your candy thermometer. Make sure not to stir any more once the mixture has reached the boiling point.

Step 4: Monitor your candy thermometer closely. As soon as it hits 300 degrees Fahrenheit (149 degrees Celsius), remove from heat immediately but do NOT remove the candy thermometer yet.

Step 5: Wait for your candy thermometer to indicate that the mixture has reached 250 degrees Fahrenheit (121 degrees Celsius). As soon as it does so, stir in orange flavor and cannabis tincture. You don’t want to stir these any earlier because doing so will result in losing the incredible healing compounds present in your cannabis tincture or concentrate.

Step 6: Pour into candy or lollipop molds carefully.

Step 7: Allow for your cannalollipops to cool completely for roughly 15 – 20 minutes at room temperature. Enjoy!

List of Ingredients

1. 1 cup mashed bananas
2. 1/3 cup melted homemade cannabis-infused coconut oil
3. ½ cup organic, local honey
4. 2 flax eggs
5. 1 ¾ cup whole wheat flour
6. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
7. 1 teaspoon baking soda
8. 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional).
9. 1/3 cup warm water

Important Notes

#1. The homemade cannabis-infused coconut oil we used for this recipe contains about 30 mg THC per teaspoon, which makes up for approximately 60 mg THC per serving, keeping in mind that we divided our cannabananabread into eight portions. As a rule of thumb, it is best to start slow and low, so testing for the desired potency in 1 teaspoon intervals is what we highly recommend.#2. As you have most probably already noticed, we opted for nothing but homemade cannabis derivatives to infuse these scrumptious treats while experimenting with the recipes. However, you should feel 100% free to use the type of cannabis derivatives that work best for you (although this should go without saying, right). Anyway, we believe it is important that we share our genuine experience with these recipes, as well as to spread awareness over the multiple benefits of growing cannabis organically, and nonetheless, using homemade cannabis products made with homegrown cannabis flowers, for this is a beautiful way to make this world a greener, better, happier place. For the record, we used Strawberry Cough strain-based cannabis-infused coconut oil which resulted in a super uplifted, energetic first onset of the high, gradually dissolving the buzzing vibes into a state of pain-and-stress-free sublime body and mind relaxation that lasted for 4+ hours.

#3. You can substitute 2 flax eggs with 2 medium size chicken eggs.

#4. You can further upgrade this fantastic cannabananabread by folding in some chopped nuts and/or chocolate chips as soon as you are done with stirring in the flour.

#5. If you are into a full-canna-punch experience, we recommend pairing this delicious cannabananabread with a cup of ice cold chocolate flavored weed milk.

Directions

Step 1:Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit (165 degrees Celsius) and grease your loaf pan well (we used a 9×5 inch pan). In the absence of a loaf pan, feel free to bake your cannabananabread in a suitable baking tray lined with baking paper, and cut it into single serving bites after baking it.

Step 2: In a suitable mixing bowl, combine and beat your melted cannabis-infused coconut oil, honey, flax eggs, and warm water.

Step 3: Stir in the mashed bananas and vanilla extract and add the salt, baking soda, and cinnamon.

Step 4: Slowly and gradually stir in flour until the mixture is smooth and uniform.

Step 5: Bake your cannabananabread for about 60 minutes. You need to make sure it is cooked all way through, so don’t hesitate to insert a toothpick to check whether it comes out clean, meaning your treatment is perfectly baked. Let it cool down on a cooling rack for about 30 minutes and dig in!

4. Cannatella ChocoSpread: A Chocoholic’s Dream Come True

#3. If you follow the exact amounts listed above, the potency of your Canatellarecipe is very easy to reach with precision. Following this recipe will yield in a total of 3 servings based on the formula: 1 teaspoon of cannabutter per serving, as 1 tablespoon = 3 teaspoons, which is exactly why Cannatellachoco spread so easy to dose correctly, as long as you acknowledge the potency of 1 teaspoon of your cannabutter.

#4. If you are allergic to nuts, or if you simply want to try out a nut-free version of this treat, you can substitute hazelnut butter with coconut butter.
